Better Minecraft Fabric BMC3 Getting Started Guide

This is Better MC (or Better Minecraft) Fabric and it's been newly updated for Minecraft 1.21.

Play modded on the very latest version of Minecraft with Trial Chambers, Crafters, all the new blocks, potion effects, mobs, and the Mace!

Join me for a first look—we'll explore a new world, check out the mod pack contents, and kick off a quick start. All so you can decide if it's your next play!

How to Install

To install Better MC, just search for BMC3 Fabric in Curseforge, Prism, etc. and install it. You can also go to the mod page on Curseforge.com and click the install button to kick things off there. I have a link in the description that describes all the steps.

How to Install Better Minecraft Fabric BMC3

Using CurseForge

Step 1: Install CurseForge App

  1. Go to the CurseForge website and download the CurseForge app.
  2. Install the app by following the on-screen instructions

Step 2: Launch CurseForge

  1. Open the CurseForge app.
  2. Click on the "Minecraft" icon to navigate to the Minecraft modpacks.

Step 3: Search for Better Minecraft Fabric BMC3

  1. In the search bar at the top, type "Better Minecraft Fabric BMC3."
  2. Click on the modpack from the search results.

Step 4: Install the Modpack

  1. Click the "Install" button to download and install the modpack.
  2. Wait for the installation to complete.

Step 5: Launch the Modpack

  1. Once installed, go to the "My Modpacks" tab.
  2. Find Better Minecraft Fabric BMC3 and click the "Play" button.
  3. The Minecraft Launcher will open with the modpack selected. Click "Play" again to start the game.

Using Prism Launcher

Step 1: Install Prism Launcher

  1. Go to the Prism Launcher website and download the launcher for your operating system.
  2. Install Prism Launcher by following the on-screen instructions.

Step 2: Launch Prism Launcher

  1. Open the Prism Launcher.
  2. Complete the initial setup and log in with your Minecraft account.

Step 3: Add a New Instance

  1. Click the "+" button or "Add Instance" to create a new instance.
  2. Name your instance "Better Minecraft Fabric BMC3" or any name you prefer.

Step 4: Download the Modpack Files

  1. Go to the CurseForge page for Better Minecraft Fabric BMC3 and download the modpack ZIP file.
  2. Extract the ZIP file to a location you can easily access.

Step 5: Import the Modpack

  1. In Prism Launcher, go to your new instance and click on "Edit Instance."
  2. Click on "Import" and select the extracted modpack files.
  3. The launcher will automatically configure the instance with the modpack.

Step 6: Launch the Modpack

  1. Return to the main screen of Prism Launcher.
  2. Click on your Better Minecraft Fabric BMC3 instance and then click "Launch."
  3. The Minecraft Launcher will open with the modpack selected. Click "Play" to start the game.

Overview

Better Minecraft is what we call a Vanilla+ mod pack, meaning that it's goal is to make changes to the game without affecting the overall gameplay with heavy and difficult to learn tech and magic mods.

It adds a ton of changes to the world with new biomes, structures, and mobs. A whole lot of Quality of Life mods, and stunning visual additions and performance mods to make it all run amazingly fast.

Because it has none of the difficult mods Better Minecraft is a great mod pack to introduce modded Minecraft to your friends.

Early Game (Overworld)

Your early game will surely involve exploring the world for a place to live and locating structures to loot. There are a number of structure mods that add interesting points of interest that will save you time mining and gathering resources. The Adorabuild mod has lots of small and handy structures around, with lots of good starting loot.

The first thing that I always do in a mod pack is understand what automation and storage options there are. This pack has very little tech, and therefore not a lot of automation, but 1.21 does not have the Crafter block to help with automation and the new vanilla methods.

Tom's Simple Storage is a storage mod that provides a terminal to access a large number of chests connected into a single inventory. You should definitely get started on that. It does require Nether Quartz and Glowstone, so a quick trip to the Nether will be necessary. Those are pretty easy resources to gather there though, so I still consider that early game.

Mid Game (Nether)

The Nether in this mod pack is enhanced by the Better Nether mod, bring all new biomes and resources to the Nether. That means more building blocks, ores, and more tools, weapons and armor.

The Bosses of Mass destruction mod also has some mobs that reside in the Nether.

Late Game (the END)

Like the Nether, the end in this pack are also much enhanced by the Better End mod.
