My last update was that I was starting keto. Well, I stopped. But for a good reason.
Ashley can’t do keto because of heath reasons and it’s much more fun and easy to share food habits (I hate the word diet) with someone else. So we’ve started counting macros. I mean technically keto is macro counting, but with this, we’re trying to *hit* an exact number of macros per day. We used a service called IIFYM.com (if it fits your macros) and purchased the blueprints.
Here’s my macro recommenations…
The idea is if I hit these numbers +/- 5 every day, I’ll lose weight. It’s set up for a calorie deficit, but not a lot. It gets challenging at the end of the day when there’s for example 40 protien and 20 fat left and zero carbs. But you drink a protien shake. or Eat an avocado. or even ice cream. It doesn’t matter what you eat. From a macro standpoint, the macros in ice cream are no different from the macros in a salad. Guilt-free desserts.
Of course there are other reasons why you should eat clean, but at least you can eat these thinks without screwing yourself up short-term, like keto does.
Riding and Streaming
I’ve also been back on the bike on Zwift streaming on Twitch.tv. Today was a great ride, with a raid from Felttimies at the end of my planned workout, gave me a boost to ride another 10 miles. That plus bits from Kittenlittlebits a sub from MattyAndAnnika, and a bunch of friends showing up, (including my best friend XQZmuah), made for an epic stream.
